Overview

BriefCounsel is a freemium productivity tool designed for individuals, teams, and students. It helps with transcription, summarization, task extraction, and more, built by Falcon Lab AI. BriefCounsel is not a separate legal entity from Falcon Lab AI and operates under the same terms and policies.

User Accounts

1. Account Creation
   To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You can log in via your Google account or email and password.

2. Responsibility for Account Security
   You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and ensuring the security of your account. Please notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Account Termination
   We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we suspect any illegal or abusive behavior, as outlined in the Acceptable Use section.

Ownership and Deletion of Data

1. Ownership of Data
   You retain full ownership of all data you upload to BriefCounsel, including meeting data, transcripts, summaries, tasks, and guides. BriefCounsel does not claim ownership of your data.

2. Data Deletion
   You may delete your account or any data at any time via the account settings in the portal. Once deleted, your data will no longer be stored by us, and we will ensure all copies are removed from our systems unless otherwise required by law.

3. No Data Sharing
   We do not share your data with third parties unless required by law or with your explicit consent.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BriefCounsel for any of the following purposes:

• Illegal Activities: Using the service for unlawful, malicious, or fraudulent activities.
• Phishing and Spamming: Engaging in phishing, spamming, or any form of impersonation or deceitful practices.
• Security Breaches: Attempting to hack, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to our systems or the data of other users.
• Unauthorized Sharing: Sharing your account with others or distributing access to people who are not authorized by you.

Any violation of these terms may result in the termination of your access to BriefCounsel without prior notice.

Payments & Refunds

1. Freemium Model
   BriefCounsel operates on a freemium model with free and paid subscription options. Premium features and enhanced services are available through paid plans.

2. Refund Policy
   Payments are non-refundable except in exceptional cases such as our website being down or unusable due to our own fault for an extended period. Refund requests must be made in writing to info@brieflyy.com.

No Age Restriction

BriefCounsel is open for all users, including students, but we recommend that minors use the service under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove it.

Termination of Services

1. Termination by You
   You may terminate your account at any time by following the process outlined in the settings page. Once your account is terminated, we will remove all your personal data from our active systems unless we are required to retain certain information due to legal obligations.

2. Termination by Us
   We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we detect illegal, abusive, or fraudulent behavior, or if you violate any of these Terms. We will provide notice where possible but may act immediately in serious cases.

3. Effects of Termination
   Upon termination of your account, you will no longer have access to your data, and any data stored in your account may be permanently deleted. Please ensure you back up any data before account termination.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will post the revised Terms on this page along with an updated date. Continued use of BriefCounsel after the changes will indicate your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the UAE.

Limitations of Liability

1. No Liability for Data Loss
   We make reasonable efforts to protect your data but will not be held responsible for any loss of data or any damages resulting from loss of data.

2. Service Interruptions
   We do not guarantee that BriefCounsel will be available at all times. We are not responsible for any service interruptions or downtime that may occur.

3. Indemnification
   You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Falcon Lab AI and its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of BriefCounsel.
