Welcome to BriefCounsel, a product of Falcon Lab AI. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our services, including our website, AI tools, and any associated features.

By using BriefCounsel, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Overview

BriefCounsel is an AI-powered productivity and legal operations platform designed for individuals, professionals, and teams. It offers tools for transcription, summarization, legal drafting, knowledge base management, and third-party task integration. BriefCounsel operates under Falcon Lab AI’s policies and infrastructure.

2. User Accounts

  • Account Creation: To use core features, you must create an account using Google or email/password.
  • Security: You are responsible for your credentials. Notify us immediately if your account is compromised.
  • Termination by BriefCounsel: We may suspend or delete your account if terms are violated or unlawful activity is suspected.

3. Ownership & Data Rights

  • You own your data: All meeting uploads, AI outputs, documents, and integrations are yours. We do not claim ownership.
  • Deletion: You may delete your data or account at any time via your dashboard. Upon deletion, data is permanently removed unless retention is required by law.
  • No resale or sharing: We do not share or sell your data to third parties unless required by law or with your consent.

4. Acceptable Use

Do not use BriefCounsel to:

  • Break the law or promote illegal content
  • Spam, phish, or impersonate others
  • Breach system security or access other users' data
  • Share your account with unauthorized users

Violating these rules may result in suspension or account termination.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

  • Freemium Model: BriefCounsel includes free and paid plans.
  • Paid Plans: Grant access to extended transcription, advanced document tools, storage, and enterprise features.
  • Refunds: Payments are non-refundable unless the platform is significantly unavailable due to our error.
  • Requests must be sent to our contacts.

6. Third-Party Integrations

BriefCounsel integrates with services like Google Drive and Trello:

  • These services require OAuth consent.
  • Only explicitly permitted data (e.g., files, boards, tasks) is accessed.
  • We do not use third-party data for training AI models.
  • You may revoke integration at any time via your external account settings.

7. Termination of Services

  • By You: You can delete your account at any time. Data will be removed from our systems, unless legally required to retain it.
  • By Us: We may terminate your access immediately for terms violations or harmful behavior. We’ll notify you where feasible.
  • After Termination: Access to your data ends. Ensure important content is backed up before closing your account.

8. Platform Availability & Liability

  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 24/7 uptime.
  • Falcon Lab AI is not liable for data loss, outages, or indirect damages.
  • You agree to indemnify Falcon Lab AI from claims arising out of your misuse of BriefCounsel.

9. Legal Age & Minors

BriefCounsel is open to all users. However, those under 13 should only use the service with parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms occasionally. If so:

  • The updated date will be shown.
  • Significant changes will be shared via email or in-app.

Continued use implies your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Any disputes will be resolved in UAE courts.
